Think this is confirmation Ani manages the KBOO Facebook page: Whoops. If your comments are deleted now you know who deleted them. Of course we always suspected...

hey it's a pledge drive, ani didn't do her job well, now she's scrambling to find volunteers.
Posting Thursday night about needing folks Friday morning, typical.
Don't worry, we've got staff that can get comp time, we'll make them cover the shifts.
And Sam Parrish, he'll do it.
Hey, did I hear Sam is going to be hired for a few weeks to cover Zale's work while she's on vacation? That sounds legit, nothing to see here. Does KBOO hire temps to cover everyone's shifts?

Hey, there is a casual labor center on MLK, not far from KBOO's offices, that they can use.

$6,370 in contributions received (of course, the number is eighteen hours old - updating numbers is hard!), only $118,630 left to go!

Ani continues the spin, good thing all those corporatists lost the election and we kept it grass rootsy. None of them talked about serving the community or engaging membership, they all wanted to get money from Walmart and Nike right? www.facebook.com/kbooradioMcRae Freeman Is it true that the station manager and the board are union busting? The board election amazed me, and those loudly taking on the struggle to keep KBOO all grass-rootsy won by a very wide margin. They've now hired an interim station manager who's well known and beloved at the station (she's pulled us together a couple of times in the past, and has been involved with KBOO for more than 30 years). So, we have challenges, but we are solid in our grass-roots, community based philosophy, and we have just ratified our first contract as a union shop. Onwards! Yesterday at 5:03am · Like · 5

doesn't matter much who the new station manager is. She's only around til February, what's that 4 months? Enough time to figure out the deal, then make recommendations to the board that get ignored (or not make them and just move on).
Oh yeah, she lives on the coast, I wonder how many days she'll actually be at the BOO. When she's not there, who will be running things? Don't answer that.
Great where Ani says "they've now hired" like she wasn't the one pulling the strings.
A whole bunch of 4 month managers is the way to go, no one is around long enough to change anything.

"The board election amazed me, and those loudly taking on the struggle to keep KBOO all grass-rootsy won by a very wide margin."
Implied is that those that lost were not talking about keeping kboo grass-rootsy, because those of course were the corporatists, talking about getting all that Uncle Phil money from Nike and stuff.
Funny, I thought those corporatists were talking about filling KBOO's mission/charter, by getting out into the community and actually serving it, conducting outreach, offering air-time to neglected voices, rather than to those that show up on their doorstep.
But, rather Ani goes to KBOO's facebook page to backhandedly put down several kboo volunteers. Not great behavior from the volunteer coordinator, the one Theresa claims has a wealth of experience in mediation.
The spin is strong in this one...

Don't know if it's spin but looks weird. www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151935970449496&set=a.75190494495.72986.647839495&type=1"Today was hard. I took my most favorite kitty ever to the vet today, squeezing in an appointment between my membership drive shifts. The vet tells me that what I thought was an abscess is likely a tumor, and at first look, it could be an aggressive cancer. We opted for a biopsy. The vet was encouraged by her initial blood work, and observations while she was doing the surgery today, and was much less dire when she talked with me following the procedure. We really won't know til the biopsy results are back on Monday. Please think good thoughts for Grey-C. She's my heart." I'll think good thoughts. Hope the cat is fine. But could she please not milk this for sympathy points? It's nauseating.
