As reported by Theresa Mitchell: portland.indymedia.org/en/2013/06/423612.shtml
It can be read in full at PIMC. We'll focus on the obvious frauds:
The video by Jim Thompson is on Youtube:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=sasoGx1jTFk
It starts with Joe Uris bemoaning the snarky T-shirt, in these words:
savekboofromsavekboo.blogspot.com/2013/06/comrade-of-day-jim-thompson-silent.html
The T-shirt:
If this guy really believes all that is CLEARLY the SAME THING as "crazy radical black killers, pimp whore mexicans...", he's nuts.
The fact that STAFF designed and approved the T-shirt, with Ani Haines, knowledge and therefore approval, and these clueless duffuses jeered about it shows they don't understand the expressed culture of the station, which is left of progressive ex hippies who find the idea of being call pinko commies hilarious. Only the Tea Party rejects don't get it.
But trying to pin responsibility for the T-Shirt by these clowns was stupid ignorance on their part. They didn't know better. They weren't married to the volunteer coordinator, like Theresa Mitchell is. Theresa Mitchell would know from her wife that Fitch wasn't responsible for it. So it would be malicious and premeditated if there was evidence of Mitchell spreading these lies about Fitch. At least Mitchell didn't do that.
Oh wait. She did : www.portlandmercury.com/BlogtownPDX/archives/2013/05/30/airing-of-grievances-kboo-staffers-formally-agree-to-form-union
Now Mitchell also shows she doesn't get the commie lulz. Readers can weigh in, but we know people who's parents were hippies stalked by the FBI who find that shit funny as hell. because, duh, obviously labeling them as "commies" for being counterculture was ludicrous. But relevant to T-Shirt-Gate, Mitchell shows she's aware of the lies they're planning to attack Fitch with 3 days before the meeting.
Now no KKK person wants to hear about the T-shirt. They certainly won't answer any questions about whether "commie pinko freaks" is the same as "black killers, pimp whore mexicans." But it's fun to ask just to show how stupid Uris' speech was.
The pathetic end to T-shirt gate is KBOO still promotes it on Facebook, where the Inner Party never sent anyone to object. Maybe cuz everyone would call out their stupid:

It can be read in full at PIMC. We'll focus on the obvious frauds:
KBOO Board overwhelmed with opposition
author: Theresa Mitchell
The Board got an earful last night about corporate-style management.

by gobytram.com
AN ANGRY, CONCERNED CROWD
Over seventy KBOO members and volunteers crowded into the KBOO Station last night to confront the KBOO Board about its management actions, technique and tone. An attempt to limit member discussion to ten minutes was pressured down. Quorum was repeatedly interrupted as Board member Hadrian, loudly hooted at for his comment that the Members should be grateful for being graciously allowed into the Board session, left in a huff (returning after an hour), and Treasurer Paula Small left within an hour. Ms. Small's companion Kurt Lauer, a vocal pro-corporatization volunteer, also left early, saying he had heard all he needed to. Member Mark Sherman complained that his attempts to introduce agenda items had been repeatedly rebuffed and ignored.
REVERSE COURSE!
Award-winning national poet Barbara LaMorticella, radio personality Joe Uris, and dozens of others expressed the view that the Station had floated into dangerous waters. The attempt to get rid of Staff en masse by "Station Navigator" Lynn Fitch was often mentioned, and many expressed concern that the Winter Membership drive had been cancelled, with some saying the cancellation had been an attempt to manufacture an economic crisis. KBOO commenter/interviewer Per Fagereng said, regarding the comment against member funding that "we can't keep milking that cow," that, as a former dairy farmer, he knew that cows had to be milked twice per morning to avoid discomfort and health problems!
FITCH TAKES THE HEAT
Many members lamented the top-down and heedless management style of Fitch, saying she was either unaware or hostile to the culture of the Station, blaming her for allowing numerous snarky comments against the KBOO left/dissent community (i.e. "fruits, nuts and flakes," "not just for communists anymore," "tinfoil hats," etc.). Lynn Fitch responded that she had not personally made the comments, saying that Staffer Justin had come up with a pejorative-listing comic t-shirt, and that Board Member Rabia had invented "Fruits, Nuts, and Flakes." This explanation was met with jeers. Many speakers called for Fitch's removal as Executive Director/Navigator. Ms. Fitch took notes during much of the comment, occasionally leaving the room, and leaving the meeting early, saying she would not quit.

savekboofromsavekboo.blogspot.com/2013/06/comrade-of-day-jim-thompson-silent.html
Joe makes things CLEAR, the following clearly being "prejudicial" to cadre:
"KBOO, not just for commie pinko freaks self-righteous gutter punks drug-addicted peaceniks anarcho-syndicalists hippie tree-huggers gay hillbillies militant vegans "Jerry-atric" deadheads or the foil-hat brigade anymore!"
In an inspired performance worthy of Marx himself,Jim Joe equivocates with the skill of a political contortionist, making it clear to cadre this is CLEARLY the SAME type of thing as :
"If I was to say "crazy radical black killers, pimp whore mexicans..."
But then Jim Joe says it's "KBOO's JOB" to be these things, including the "foil hat brigade":
"And the foil hat brigade, I don't wanna leave them out"

"Change is hard"--yeah, losing your job along with every single co-worker, in order to institute a guaranteed-to-fail fundraising plan, that's hard. Every KBOO staffer would be on the street right now if that plan had not been thwarted. And now, the Staff have to work with the one that tried to sack all of them. This really is about a culture change, and if that were not true, we would not have seen so many snarky jabs at the Left emanating form management--i.e. "not just for communists anymore" (as if it ever was) at the Laurelhurst, a T-shirt listing every pejorative directed at the Left for 40 years, or the "Fruits, Nuts and Flakes" title of the pancake breakfast tomorrow. So Monday, June 3rd, at 6PM, at the KBOO station at 20 SE 8th, that corporate-friendly minority on the Board is going to get an earful.
