No one remembers Lynn Fitch's heroic efforts to get KPOJ members to join KBOO. Or maybe they do and don't want to hear about how crappy the signal is:

You ALL have progressive radio. If the 10,000 people who are signing the petition would become members and listen to KBOO 90. 7 - progressive radio for 45 years - community owned and supported - we would be much stronger. KBOO would be able to enhance and improve our coverage of local events, news and public affairs. It is hard to believe that you are petitioning Clear Channel to bring back your progressive, REAL radio - when with your support KBOO would be that station.

Lynn Fitch 90.7 fm or online kboo.fm. Listening to Paula's pick's right now. Sorry about your connectivity issues. Public affairs 6am- noon, M-F, local news 4-7pm M-F. Great archive tape from the last 45 years of Portland history.

Kelli Hernandez I can't get the station on my car radio or at home. Static. I miss the line up of Carl in the morning followed by Ed, Thom, Randi, Norm and Mikey. Why mess up a good thing? I appreciate your station, but KPOJ was one of a kind, as was Carl in the morning!

Lynn Fitch Please give ideas on how KBOO could be that source for you? We have a mandate to serve under served communities and populations. If the local progressives are truly a disenfranchised group, well get involved, you CAN create the radio you want in Portland. Be a member. I am concerned about your inability to hear our signal. Where do you live?

Save KPOJ Yes, KBOO is awesome. And folks should absolutely support it! But this is about more progressive radio, not less. And keep in mind that there are things that commercial radio can do that nonprofit radio can't (like endorse candidates on-air.)

Lynn Fitch Thanks -the kind words are much appreciated. Right now we should be about uniting and not trying for more. I agree more progressive radio would be awesome - but at what cost? Yes, commercial radio stations can be bought out - and that is progressive polotics?

Lynn Fitch You as KBOO members and volunteers and general public can take media production classes, have your own programs, build awareness - and as members you can vote for board members and help guide station future.

Kurt Lauer Amy Goodman, Jim Hightower, green, Occupy, LGBT, liberal, local and global, FM and internet... Why not give it a try? This is a station that becomes what you want it to be and can't be turned off by Clear Channel or Bain Capital.

Kathleen King Lynn- I live outside Salem, I tried again this morning and still nothing. It's disappointing I would love to be able to find a local station to support!
