This is to inform IMC readers that on August 29th the article "Operation Free Speech" was deleted from one of the few operational IMCs, Portland Indymedia. It was not "composted". It was deleted so no one could judge for themselves:

i saw nothing in the attached article - from operation free speech - that had anything solid to say. it sounded more like the description of an anime series than any sort of critique.

i've worked in community radio before, and i know that they sometimes come under attack by rightwing religious groups and others who wish to hijack the frequncy for themselves.

not saying kboo is perfect - i know i rarely listen (poor reception) - but i also know some of the people involved in the station, who have big hearts. i know that if there is a problem within the organization, there are people ready to sort it out.

want to change kboo? volunteer.

has had a long history of intolerance for ideas and expressions other than the party line. Not Jackboots, but sandals stop the ideas right off the page in the name of goodness, but the effect is the same. Fascist tactics to silence anybody challenging their flimsy philosophy.
