Don't see these on the forum anywhere. Feedback PDX Radio has been covering some of this 3 weeks ago:

Also in the public broadcasting arena today, this from All Access:
---------------------------------------WPFW Relieves John Hughes Of GM Duties----------------------------------------
PACIFICA RADIO noncom Variety WPFW/WASHINGTON has placed GM JOHN HUGHES on paid administrative leave and appointed an outside consultant, MICHELLE PRICE, as interim GM, CURRENT.ORG reports.
PACIFICA interim executive director SUMMER REESE sent an in-house e-mail, telling staffers to not discuss HUGHES’ employment status "on the air, in public, in e-mail, social media or in the press ... if a caller calls in to express any opinion about JOHN HUGHES’ departure, including being pleased about it, the programmer should refrain from comment or agreement and simply thank the caller for his or her thoughts."
WPFW management and its volunteers are at odds over the station's relocation. Staffers objected to its plan to lease space from a subsidiary of CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS in SILVER SPRING, MD. The station has since moved into temporary studios in downtown D.C. this summer, but is still looking for a permanent home.

They really do need to produce a reality show.
Nobody really cares about KBOO more than they do themselves. That is the problem at the core.

The article reads like a press release direct from KBOO. What really happened was many boards over several years came up with a plan to clean up bad governance at KBOO, stabilize finances, and implement a plan to improve programming and gain more listeners and members.
Their reward after hiring a manager and tasking her to implement the plan was to have the staff harass board members off the board, defame the manager, and create a hysteria in the core membership who saw professionalism as a threat to the character of the station. The mobilized core membership voted, and the people elected represent a solid swing back to the previous status quo of a weak board and unaccountable staff.
You'd think KBOO was a radio station for the Tea Party.
A solid win for the staff who don't want to be managed or be personally accountable. A big loss for Portland as a city like this deserves good quality and well run community radio.
