Not actually what she says but that's probably why she's doing it:
Candidate 6
Theresa Mitchell
I am Theresa Mitchell, a transgender woman, 61 years of age. I am a KBOO member in good standing.
I wish to serve as a KBOO Board member. I served on the KBOO Board from 1995-1998 and am well familiar with KBOO policies, and also with IRS, CPB, FCC, ORS 65, KBOO Bylaws, and Robert’s Rules of Order. I am on good terms with KBOO Staff, and served as an Interim PM News Director (with Sam Bouman) last year.
My emphasis on the Board will be to address excessive and inappropriate legal expenses, and to move the Station forward as a multimedia hub in the 21st century digital context. We have the potential to become a much larger piece of the news and public affairs audience in this region. With more publicity, our excellent music broadcasting could also become better appreciated.
Our culture of equality and participation, hand in hand with the Staff Union, is what distinguishes KBOO and keeps it vital. That is what I will support.
But what about abolishing "top down corporatism" or any of the other garbage she whined about before Ani was fired? What about her mission to SAVE ANI er KBOO?
Mitchell's nothing more than a resistance grifting troll. Now Ani's gone, she's toning the tinfoil WAY down.
Yeah, don't forget Mitchell thinks 9/11 was in Inside Job and the Portland is gonne be nuked any day now.....

Many interesting developments.
One person up for election withdrew their candidacy. Another sadly died a few days ago in an accident.
There are currently eight positions filled on the BOD, and the election is to fill the four remaining seats. Even if TM gets three other like minded individuals with her on the BOD, that won't make a controlling block. According to the notice about Ani leaving/fired, the existing BOD was unanimous about this decision. So the new members of the BOD won't be able by themselves to get Ani re-hired.
That leaves the question of recall of existing BOD members on the table. It will be interesting to watch from afar as this plays out. TM and friends would have to run the table on the election, and get three other BOD members replaced with like minded folks to take control back. Not impossible, especially with their history of controlling members and volunteers.
This food fight is likely to drag on well into the fall and winter. Make sure you have lots of popcorn!

I think that's tongue in cheek, but totally believe Mitchell will try it if she can. Don't know what her retirement pay from Trimet is, but losing Ani's income had to be a blow.
If only they had been nicer to people and not made a habit of being frauds/loons....

THIS.
That makes the play worth it in TMs deranged mind. It's a hard play. They better have savings or friends in really good places. If it doesn't work they'll have to move and probably out of state to keep expenses down. Its not like either of them are employable....

Hey remember this? During the Great Fitch Witchhunt of 2013?
Just noticed the Falseflag Nuke Portland pic. Was that the Captain May Nuke Inquest thing KBOO endorsed on Theresa Mitchel's recommendation?
