The life span of a fruit fly is only 40 to 50 days. A typical KBOO manager's lifespan is that of 7.3 fruit flies. In other words, if a KBOO manager had a fruit fly as a pet, they would have to get 6 replacements. In the 50 years of KBOO's existence, there have been 34 station managers. KBOO has needed to get a replacement manager, on average, every 1.5 years. By comparison, the typical lifespan of a non-profit director is 5 years. In 5 years, KBOO will have had 3.33 station managers. Why is that? Are the managers hired by KBOO bad managers? Then why in hell does KBOO keep hiring the wrong people? And why in hell is staff still allowed to be a major part of this deeply flawed hiring process? They don't seem to be helping much. In fact, the KBOO staff is a largely, if not solely, responsible for manager turn-over. But it's not because they help hire bad managers. It's because the staff refuses to be managed. The one time staff tried to manage themselves was a disaster. The staff was, and has been, powerless to stop the board from hiring a manger. But when one is hired, the staff will not accept their direction. Instead, they make life miserable for the manager in so many ways. Knowing that, I think the next few station managers hired should say, day one, "Let's make life easier for everyone. Here is my letter of resignation, effective immediately." In the future, KBOO will rightfully be ruled by the fruit fly.

isn't there supposed to be fcc regs about turnover? or is that the board? I think that's the BOD. Also aren't there regulations about out of state donations? Seems like "carpetbagers money" has saved KBOO's bacon:
So Theresa had a cow...and some other unnamed livestock... about a certain KB joinging KBOO with questions she didn't like and she doxxed this person. But random people out of KBOO's transmition range are okay as long as they throw money at the station and shut up?
Okeydokey then!
