From all appearances Ben Hoyne has shut down the Campaign for KBOO website: www.campaign4kboo.orgWe're sad to see it go. Even though it turned out to be a futile gesture, it was an archive and historical record that sane people did try to stop the crazy from taking over KBOO in 2013. Thank you, Mr. Hoyne for your effort.

Ben voiced real concerns about the financial situation at KBOO. He repeatedly asked why the Board President could spend almost $2,000 for no legitimate reason without facing any discipline from the Board of Directors. On a widely read blog, including readers that identify as Progressives, Greens, and Democrats, he encouraged membership and participation at KBOO.
Likely due to his outspokenness, Ben was subjected to: - Being labeled a corporatist and Democrat by Theresa Mitchell, spouse of a staff member - Threatened with a lawsuit by current board member Lisa Loving, with the evidence being that he lives in Happy Valley - More recently, having a fictitious person contact his employer via email in an attempt to smear his professional reputation
I guess that's what happens when one dares speak up and suggest there are ways to serve the community, uphold the mission of KBOO and not lose $100,000 a year. But of course, that would require people to put the station ahead of their own personal programming and employment interests.

Has KBOO ever investigated this? Does KBOO know sending malicious emails can be a FEDERAL CRIME?
Sure does look like something crack operative Theresa Mitchell would do....
