Played organizing role early on in Keep KBOO KBOO. Expressed concerns about the Strategic Plan, (that ironically, Theresa Mitchell and Ani Haines' confidant Conser worked on;Conser bragged about in his 2011 election campaign):

Troubled Waters at KBOO
I think there is a great danger that there will be a
major switch in programming values in this 'regeneration
of KBOO".
I heard the Interim Executive Director say last night
onthe radio that all the old KBOO Policies were "null
and void"
- I am assuming that included the Programming Charter
(Policy 23).
That charter stated:
"KBOO shall be a model of programming, filling the need that other media do not,
providing programming to diverse communities and unserved and underserved groups....
KBOO's news and public affairs programming shall place an
emphasis on providing a forum for unpopular, controversial, or neglected
perspectives on important local, national, and international issues..."
In contrast- the Board minutes from November 26, 2012 listed the new KBOO
Mission Statement as:
"Working together to transmit culture, news and music that matters."
The minutes add:
"from the Mission Statement the programming charter is created".
I think there is great cause for concern.
