Glad the FCC took action on the address issue. The organization with the high-priced lawyers I mentioned was the deep-pocketed x-ian broadcasters that challenged KBOO's license application/renewal for a station out of town -- KBLU maybe? The challenge was on the much more serious issue of board turn-over, which would have caused problems for KBOO's licence as well. As the FCC took no action on that issue, I guessed that they would give KBOO a pass on the address issue. I was wrong. So now we know where the board members live. What else does the board not want people to know? No board minutes posted on the web page for all of 2015? Yikes.

Seriously? Guess it's time to email the mods. Then make popcorn. lol Yes, seriously. The station licence being contested was for KBOO's FM station at Chehalis, Washington. The x-ian backed organization contesting the KBOO license application was the Chehalis Valley Educational Foundation. Here is the FCC ruling on the matter of the turn-over on KBOO's board. www.fcc.gov/document/kboo-foundationTo quote: "On November 24, 2008, KBOO amended its application ("November 2008 Amendment") to reflect a greater than 50 percent change in its governing board ("Board"), which is generally considered a "major change" prohibited by Section 73.3573 of the Commission's Rules ("Rules").3" When I was kicked off the board for whistle blowing, it triggered the 50 percent change again. As in 2008, the FCC gave KBOO a pass. The turnover issue jeopardized KBOO's license. If the matter of the board members addresses was more important that the turn-over issue, you might expect the FCC to do more than require KBOO comply with the rules. It wasn't worth my time to take the address issue to the FCC, and no one on this board did either. You have to pick your battles wisely. Now we know where KBOO board members live. So what? KBOO is still in business. I look forward to hearing from the Admin/mods about this or any other issue. Pass the popcorn.

I suspect he'll regret these rash words..... @lurker Any news from the mods? They on another vacation in Rio? I got a very brief reply. Short story: people are busy but are aware of the situation. And don't mind H (assuming it really is H). He's just trying to worm his way back into the mods good graces. If I was to guess, it's been too long without a drama to rally the troops at KBOT central and H is here to be our old/new playmate.

Time honored tradition. If things stay too calm at the station for too long, the Kbots will start to ask awkward questions, threatening the status quo(Ani's meal ticket). Better to periodically keep them in a state of panic, so Ani or whoever can play rescuer.
I'm surprised they've gone, what? Two years? Without a drama. They're overdue.

They on another vacation in Rio? I don't think its rash to be available to discuss anything of concern to the admins. They wanted an explanation and apology for past behavior. It was motivated by a concern about problems that were not my business to worry about. I've apologized. Time to move on, isn't it?

right you are! at least until u find a way around your ban Can he do that? Yep. I use XP. I use Linux. I use Mac. I use Android. I'm old enough to have used punchcards and PL-1. Go look that up. Hadrian, looks like we're both banned. Bummer, you'll have to reply to me email of last week if you want to get coffee. No worries either way. BTW, to all the "mods" you're welcome. I'm the only person who has posted anything there that you've gotten excited about in months. Now there is some activity again on the Blue Blog and you're aware that KBOO is still the same mess as a few years ago. The only way I watch the slow decline is by watching what's publicly available, but if you actually look you can follow the slow decline. For what it's worth, I had fun for a year at XRAY but I'm now happily taking a break from any involvement in community radio, got much better things to do. Adios Muchachos, I'll lurk in the background and watch to see if anything new and interesting pops up.

right you are! at least until u find a way around your ban Can he do that? As you can see, yes, though his explanation is misleading. Much like his entire "fighting the Kbots" schtick. Without giving trolls free protips, getting around an IP ban has nothing to do with the actual machine you're using. We're limited by the forum software. But, bonus, we have software mods that make tracking trolls easier. Re:XRAY More about it at Feedback Radio. Our consensus is XRAY is a real attempt at new progressive radio, but ( big but) KBOO affiliated opportunists want a slice of the pie. Basically its a big wait and see if XRAY can keep it's shit together and keep the woo out. But it's adorable Eddy thinks he has any scrap of credibility left. How are those three Facebook accounts of yours doing, Eddy? This is the man who claimed not to "do Facebook".
