Former KBOO board member and former KBOO engineer is now a former John Mackey. For example, as a result of John changing his Facebook name, a comment he made on social media as John Mackey become a comment from John Emmett. And the Facebook profile of this John Emmett suspiciously had lots of pictures of the former John Mackey. That's fine, There are a lot of legit reasons to change a Facebook name. For example, out of modestly, not wanting to be associated with the John who contributed so greatly to KBOO. Out of modestly. John is so modest that he apparently asked that no photos of him appear on the KBOO photo archive page. But it seems that John Emmwtt/Mackey has gotten even more modest. His Facebook profile, under either name, no longer can be found. Maybe he's now known as John Mysterioso? However, having more than one name is not unusual for Mackey. Back in 2012, "Ann" posted on Portlandndymedia that "since his dismissal, John's name (and occasionally his pseudonyms) have been recorded on numerous sites, where negative rumors and opinions meant to undermine KBOO have been posted". I have to wonder. Was John Mackey ever his real name? So, if the person formerly known as John Mackey still lurks here. maybe he can explain his disappearing act. Or we could ask Theresa Mitchell to doxx the guy - just for fun. Theresa, are you still lurking here? I suggest you get the assistance of anti-pseudonym crusader "Ann." She must have a lot of time on her hands after "voluntarily" resigning.

kboo does weirdly have a high percentage of person who are using professional pseudonyms honestly or otehrwise. there's marie cullen . a rumor is goling around lisa loving isn't actually her name but an anglicized translation. at the same time theresa mitchell doxxes people who disagree with her gang. clearly two set of rules. or maybe the anti govmint radicals were afraid of being raided by the feds. and a couple years back a whole bunch of people bailed when the fcc insisted they couldn't use kboo as their address. its all kinda strange.

Don't know about any of this, but the FCC thing is old news. That's what the BOD was obsessed with a while ago, there was a court case about if the BOD of a non profit is the "ownership" of the station. That one was well documented on the blue blog. Don't really matter as it wasn't enforced.
I also don't understand this thread about John Mackey. John was a decent guy all the time I worked with him at KBOO. He was one of the more sane staff. A short internet search shows he's still working as a broadcast engineer in Oregon. I'm sure it's a lot easier to work for a real radio station than for KBOO.

Dear Lisa, fraud enabler, amateur stalker, and gossiping rat. There are references in this blog to a David Lichtenstein and someone called Lela Loving Lichtenstein.
I don't know about translations. "Lichtenstein" seems to be old German for bright rock or stone, not "love". But it does look like a strong possibility that "Loving" is a pseudonym.
That said, there's nothing illegal about using a pseudonym if it's not to hide illegal activity. There's just the raging hypocrisy of violating boundaries and people's privacy while using a pseudonym.
Re: Mackey. Sounds like low hanging fruit. Can't really blame anyone who's left(escaped?) KBOO for wanting to make it harder for the KBOTs to find them.
